Praise for DEAD EARTH POLITICS:

"An awesome display peak peak, valley, mountain, and river. A monster demon and omnivorous angel both winged and flying over melodies of aggressive thrash and classic metal. A good mix of old meeting new." - Jason McMaster, Watchtower / Broken Teeth

""Dead Earth Politics are perfect blend of thrash and power metal. Mixing the aggressive styles of thrash and modern metal with epic and melodic elements that we love about metal. The vocals, drums, bass and guitar are equally powerful in their own right. DEP will please the old school and new metal fans alike"

- Hiran Deraniyagala, Battlecross

"If I owned a record label the first band I would sign would be Dead Earth Politics. Not only because they are a great band that continues to evolve over the years, but these guys have the intangibles that few bands possess in their arsenal. They are creative, intelligent and professional. They have the hunger, heart and desire to not let anything stop them from reaching their goals. They are their own managers, booking agents, promoters, and most importantly... each one of them is very talented musicians. This band deserves all the accolades they receive because Dead Earth Politics can back it all up."

- Bruce Corbitt, Rigor Mortis / Warbeast

Members of DEAD EARTH POLITICS are available for interviews. As evidenced in the quotes listed above, DEP has earned the respect of several seasoned metal vets.

The video's band scenes were filmed by Yves Ambitious Film. The trailer was recorded and edited by Daniel Zimmermann from Schrottgrenze.tumblr.com/.

Wishing Well new album out

By Metal-Department, 2016-02-05
Wishing Well new album out

Finnish hard rock band Wishing Well released their debut album “Chasing Rainbows” today,  February 5th 2016. The band released the first single cut “Hippie Heart Gypsy Soul” from the album on January 18th, featuring Graham Bonnet on vocals. The song was very well received among hard rock and metal circles giving the band positive publicity.

“Chasing Rainbows” album features many styles from melodic hard rock of the title track to doom metal of “Sacrifice”. There are also fast power metal influenced tracks like “Science Fiction” and soft ballads like “I’ll Never Let You Go”. Lead vocalist Peter James Goodman is a classic metal singer whose vocal performance oozes passion and power throughout the album.

Peter James Goodman says: This album was a lot of fun to record and there’s a lot of feeling there. Graham Bonnet’s great performance on “Hippie Heart” really motivated me to give all I’ve got, I wanted to make sure all my vocals are as good as his, though our styles are of course different and you can’t really compete with Graham, he’s one of a kind.”

The album was recorded at Big Fat Studios in Helsinki July-October 2015 with Henrik Sirelä, an experienced recording engineer who has worked with many music genres from hard rock to folk and hip hop. All music was written and rehearsed before the band went to the studio so only 10 studio days were used to complete recording the album.

The band consists of vocalist Peter James Goodman, drummer Rip Radioactive, bassist Richard Becker and guitar player Anssi Korkiakoski, who also played bass on the album. “The songs were written over a long period of time. Only “Hippie” was written last summer during a jam session, just before we went to the studio for the first time in July. We had some more material to use but we decided to use only these nine songs to make the best possible album representing all sides of the band”, says Anssi Korkiakoski who has written all songs on the album.

“This kind of music may not be all the rage nowadays but we still believe in melodic hard rock and metal. I hope that this album reaches those people who like classic heavy rock from 70’s and 80’s. It’s going to be interesting to see how people feel about our album. We’re proud of what we’ve done and look forward to working hard and taking the band forward. Our heads are in the clouds but we keep our feet down on the ground at the same time”, says Anssi.

Festung Nebelburg is back with full force

By Metal-Department, 2016-02-04
Festung Nebelburg is back with full force

Anything but a hasty Quick-Shot is the new and second album from this extremely capable  PAGAN FOLK METALadvocate of true values!

FESTUNG NEBELBURG is back with full force!

Entitled "Zwischen den Jahren" and released in the end of 2015, Bavarian multi-instrumentalist and singer Nattulvdelivers a fine mixture of musical power and lyrical depth.

With the current successor to the 2007 debut album  "Gabreta Hyle" presents the talented soloist his meanwhile completely unique and so far this way unheard mixture of traditional pagan topics and a quest for meaning at the present time.

"The collection of songs on "Zwischen den Jahren" is dedicated to the „Rauhnächte“, as the dark period between the years is called in parts of Bavaria. The old year has not disappeared completely and the new year has not fully begun yet.
The elderly tell that our world and the world of the dead become indistinct in these nights and that it is possible to predict the future. Dreams in these nights can confuse us, take away our breath and when one looks out of the window, the land is gloomy and foggy. Snow falls, clothes become damp and the Perchten rumble in the villages.
From distance, one may hear the yelling of the wild hunt. It is a dangerous time in which numerous strange things occur. But it is also a time which allows one to pause and to reflect.
With this album, I set myself the goal to write songs which make the atmosphere of the Rauhnächte perceivable."

Rhapsody of Fire comes to Indonesia

By Metal-Department, 2016-02-04
Rhapsody of Fire comes to Indonesia

For the first time Rhapsody of Fire, the Symphonic Power Metal band from Italy will perform in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Rhapsody of Fire whose members Alex Staropoli (keyboards), Fabio Lione (vocals), Roby De Micheli (guitars), Alessandro Sala (bass) and Alex Holzwarth (drums), are touring to promote their new album 'In To The Legend' which they have just released to the market.

On the 'In To The Legend Asian Tour 2016', Rhapsody of Fire will stop in Jakarta on March 8th 2016, before they head for Japan to perform in two cities, Osaka and Tokyo.

It is an honour for Indonesian Metalheads that Rhapsody of Fire's appearance in Indonesia is the only one in the Southeast Asia region.

The Power Metal genre is popular in Indonesia, but Helloween and DragonForce are by far the most popular bands. Both bands have visited Indonesia several times, performing in several cities, not only in Jakarta. Therefore, Rhapsody of Fire will provide fresh air for the Indonesian Metalhead, especially fans of the Power Metal genre.

The Rhapsody of Fire concert will take place at Hall Basket Senayan Jakarta on March 8th 2016 promoted by Total Metal Music - this is Total Metal Music's first concert produced independently.

Total Metal Music is a music company engaged in Metal music, responsible for labelling and records distribution, releasing official band t-shirts and now also penetrating the world of Metal concerts to become a promoter.

Indonesia can't wait to see the Italian Power Metal knights in action.
